Fall in DC is gorgeous Fall has always been the perfect balance of weather for me. The temperature evens out to that delicate balance of warmth and cool when the sun shines bright but the air cools you instantly but not too much. With the shift from green to soft vibrant foliage and longer nights so do the events and festivals around town. Get Hiking
Rent a bike or go for a hike. Rock Creek Park is especially gorgeous during the fall as the autumn leaves line each trail adding just a touch of color.

Watch the foliage
There is a list of places to watch the foliage change in the DC area, but time and time again the National Arboretum is voted one of the best places to visit to watch the leaves change during the fall in DC. The National Mall is another favorite and picturesque place as the trees align in shades of reds and orange overlooking the water. And finally, almost any park, like Rock Creek Park, during the fall in DC is sure to be optimal to take in the changing foliage.

Most Oktoberfest events around the city have been mostly canceled this year but not for the Kennedy Center! For a few weeks in October, the Kennedy Center brings us “Oktoberfest at the Garten”. This outdoor pop-up wine and beer garden is hosted REACH at the Victura Park partnered with at Solace Outpost & Sauced.

DMV Black Restaurant Week is back again with its third installation. Local foodies this event is for you, come out and enjoy a week purely focused on incredible food in DC, Maryland, and Virginia and support black-owned restaurants. DC is home to several cideries and tasting rooms and fall in Washington, DC is the perfect time to possibly switch from your typical wine tasting to cider tasting.
