Afropunk Festival. An annual live music and art festival that originated in Brooklyn, New York and has grown to Atlanta, Paris, London and Johannesburg at various times of the year.
Recently I visited one of the top cities on my bucket list – Washington, D.C. I was a little intimidated because this was my first solo trip and there were so many places and historical sites I wanted to visit.
It’s that time for me again, one of my favourite pastimes…Carnival!! As summer is coming to an end so is carnival season, my last carnival stop of the year was spent in Toronto Canada at Caribana.
Caribana is one of those carnivals I always heard mixed reviews about. One moment it’s named one of the best carnivals in North America
my inaugural Essence Music Festival annually hosted in New Orleans, and let me tell you I’m already having Essence withdrawal.
Around this time last year, my Instagram was full of clips, photos and soca of what seemed like everyone in the DC area were at this event Hookie Carnival.
With summer officially here, why not kick start it with Rose & Music on a beautiful Saturday morning surrounded with friends over a picnic?
Straight outta Philly!
