Visiting Toronto, Canada for me is one of those places that’s always a good idea to visit. A true melting pot of cultures, food and art Toronto vaguely reminds me of a cleaner and chiller version of New York. With its city feel, art plastered streets, rooftop bars with endless gorgeous views, kind people this city is vibrant and seems to never disappoint.

This time around I wanted the “solo experience” with a more local vibe. Though hostels aren’t always my first choice I wanted a change this time around. I wanted to experience another neighborhood outside of the city center. I stayed at The Planet Travelver Hostel which was nice, sizeable and had some nice amenities. The only major downside was the broken A/C in our room that wasn’t able to be fixed during my stay. And a minor downside was the rooftop that had no lights at night. As soon as the sun went down we were left having to use cell phone flashlight and nearby street lights to see. But all in all, this hostel was a great choice.
If you’re ever having doubts about when to visit Toronto worry no more. There is something to do or attend almost weekly. From just roaming the city, or going on a food tour, or attending concerts or festivals like Pride or Caribana you’ll never be at a loss for things to do. You can spend one weekend taking in many of the murals the city has like those in Graffiti Alley. Or go bar-hopping, while enjoying the drinks & food while taking in the scenery. I’ll have to do a separate foodie dive & review because everything I had in Toronto was great. Some of my faves include PAI (A-MAZING!!), Chubby’s Jamaican Kitchen (especially the vibe), Kost (for the pool with a view).
I know, I know, I know…I haven’t even scratched the surface of what Toronto has to offer. Not even a little bit but that’s okie because I’ll be back. Visiting Toronto is always on my list.
But in the meantime, hit the comments to share some of your favorite places in Toronto.
